I’ve placed the Oxelo Adult Scooter Commute 900 top of the tree mainly because I love the fact it has a handbrake. This isn’t shouted about enough as a key feature, but for me I find it indespensible.
Of course this being a foldable scooter review, I simply love the foldability of this scooter too. It has patented Easyfold system, which means you can fold it up quickly without having to bend down.

Decathlon tell us that to fold it you need to just stand opposite the scooter with the frame in front of you, press the pedal, and it folds just like that. I mean 400+ positive reviews don’t lie, it really has it all for no extra price.

Here are some close-up’s of those features in action. The frame is ridiculously sturdy, as sturdy as an electric scooter I’d say. And the effortless fold, means you just need to push down on the button at the front and the frame folds in. A one-push motion and it’s done.

🚀 2. Micro Classic Scooter (Kick)

Best for: Reliable everyday commuting
You just can’t go wrong with the Micro Classic scooter. It’s consistently top of the best kick scooters for adults by general riders and experts. And it ticks pretty much every box. Ok, it doesn’t have the hand-break like the Oxelo Scooter Commute 900, but it does have every else. It’s so easy to fold, it’s not heavy at 4.7kg, and it’s Micro’s flagship scooter.
🔑 Key Features:
I love the low deck, which if like me you get occasional leg strain, it reduces it massively. I’ve never found the foldable design difficult at all (check out the video below) and regularly use this as my scooter of choice on commutes on and off the London tube.

Following the Micro Classic, is another Micro favourite, the Micro Speed. It works in a very similar way to the Micro Classic, but it’s build for that extra speed and it’s extra lightweight at just 3.75kg. Smaller wheels though, but for short, fast trips, you don’t need 200mm wheels. Instead go for the 145mm of the Micro Speed.

A comfortable, effortless ride, is what most of us want – and the Razor A6 definitely delivers. It’s designed for taller riders with extra long handlebars.
It’s got large 10-inch wheels and a aluminium frame, and when I’ve ridden it I can tell it’s sturdy.

In terms of how easy it is to fold, Razor explain it’s simply a case of fold-and-go. Plus it’s pretty lightweight for a taller scooter. Overall it is a top foldable scooter top choice for commuting and running errands.

The Micro Suspension is a very unique scooter in that it has both front and rear suspension, which none of the others listed here have. And you’ll be hard to find any others to buy that do.
In terms of a non-electric foldable scooter, this has to be up there as one of the best. Just look at it, it looks awesome, and it has pride of place in my garage.

It has 200mm wheels, which are perfect for commuting, and it feels like it glides over the ground. I’ve found it’s pretty fast on 1.5 mile trip to station each morning (I think my record is 6 mins!).

The 7XL is one of the most popular scooters around right now. I’ve owned one for 2 years, and love it. I have it in this light blue too, and it’s probably the best looking scooter I own.

The Razor A5 Air is built for stability and comfort, especially if you ride over uneven or bumpy surfaces. It stands out from the pack thanks to its pneumatic (air-filled) tyres, which absorb shock far better than standard polyurethane wheels.
In terms of how easy it is to fold, I found it a breeze, with a mechanism that takes about 5 seconds.

You’ll see this scooter everywhere, despite strong regulation around electric scooters not being legal in the UK. It’s such a popular choice for those looking for a foldable electric scooter. It’s got super sturdy wheels, excellent range and 15 mph speed.
Here are some close ups of the real-deal itself, and you can find more in our Pure Air 4 Pro review. The handlebar display is really slick and digitally laid out. And the deck is wide, comfortable and sturdy. It’s the complete package when it comes to electric scooters.

And lastly, you can’t ignore the i9Max from iScooter. I’ve owned one of these about 6 months now and it’s actually my go-to electric scooter now. It has great charging time, folds super easily and the range is just what I need.

🙏 How do you fold an Adult Scooter?
Not gonna lie most adult scooters are ridiculously easy to fold. They’re designed to be so easy because most are meant to be on the move, whether scooting for fun or commuting, so being able to fold quickly is important.
Micro scooters have created this super easy video which I wanted to share here, cos it helped me when learning how to fold my scooters. Most come with a hatch / lever, you lift up and then press one or two buttons in, depending on the model. Other scooter brands like Oxelo, vary in their folding mechanisms, with some being a hatch and kick method, while others have a two handed approach.
Here is a couple pics of my folded scooter as you can see it’s really easy to carry once folded, and folding takes about 5 seconds to do.
